Sandra O'Brien has lived in the Marmor district for 25 years, and served on the former Fitzroy Shire Council for four years.

As a community-minded person, Sandra's passion is helping people. Extremely interested in promoting health issues affecting all members of the family, Sandra has worked with Queensland Women's Health Network for over 18 years, the last six as Secretary/Treasurer.

The QCWA, Capricorn Respite Centre, LifeLine, and the Spinal Injuries Association are just some of the other community groups involving all age groups in which Sandra is involved.

A registered wildlife carer, Sandra's spare time is put to use rehabilitating native animals. Sandra has qualifications in Mental Health, Psychology, Counselling and Social Work.

Her campaign to have all poisonous plants labeled at point of purchase is supported by the State Government. Sandra is a serving Justice of the Peace (Qual).
