Rockhampton Regional Development Limited (RRD) is a not-for-profit Australian Public Company, Limited by Guarantee and is funded by several major stakeholders:

1. The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation

2. The Rockhampton Regional Council

Advisory Committees

Three Strategic Advisory Committees operate to provide advice to the RRD Board of Directors. These committees comprise of representatives from RRD's membership and provide advice on the key areas of:

     - Communities: make recommendations to the RRD Board about matters relating to soft infrastructure issues including environment, health, education, recreation, social, law and order, and culture; and improving the quality of lifestyles in the region and enhancing the liveability for current and future residents.
     - Economic Development: make recommendations to the RRD Board about matters relating to the mining services and agribusiness supply chain development opportunities; attraction of new business and growing of existing business; and attraction of skilled labour in identified vocations experiencing shortages.
     - Planning and Infrastructure: make recommedations to the RRD Board about matters relating to the current and future needs and provision of hard and soft infrastructure; and the current effectiveness of Council's town planning schemes, development control plans and development approvals processes and advice the RRD Board on appropriate input to regular and/or periodic reviews.
